On Sunday, 28 June 2026, the CSI Security Special Operations Unit was alerted by the extensive CSI Security ANPR Network to a wanted fuel theft suspect linked to incidents at a well-known filling station in Pretoria East.
A search of the area was immediately conducted, and the suspect vehicle was located entering Menlyn Mall. With the assistance of the FADT Tactical Team and FADT Menlyn Mall, a swift tactical takedown was successfully executed.
The suspect was detained and handed over to Brooklyn SAPS for further investigation.
Well done to all members involved for their professionalism, teamwork, and rapid response. Another excellent example of how effective technology and coordinated operations contribute to fighting crime.
