On above date Brinant Head of investigations noticed a suspicious VW Polo with 2 occupants moving around shopping centres in the Sinoville area.

Assistance was requested on the PTATRT group after the vehicle tried to flee when the driver noticed that they were being followed.

Several members assisted in detaining the driver after the passenger jumped out and fled on foot. Sinoville SAPS members searched the vehicle and found a sports bag in the boot containing 2 signal jamming devices.

The driver was taken to Sinoville SAPS where he was arrested and found that he had several other cases pending against him.

The second suspect was later found and also arrested, and the vehicle used was booked into the SAP13
